1. Who we are
This privacy policy is issued by Accelpix Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“Accelpix”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in India. We are an Authorised Data Vendor and fintech products company.
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we act as the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR / UK GDPR.
2. What this policy covers
This single policy applies to all of the following, which we refer to together as the “Services”:
- The Accelpix Trader Tools website — our free suite of trading, risk-management and personal finance calculators.
- The Accelpix mobile app for Android, distributed through Google Play.
- The Accelpix mobile app for iOS, distributed through the Apple App Store.
Where a practice applies only to the website or only to the mobile apps, we say so explicitly. This policy does not cover any third-party website or service you reach through a link from us — those have their own policies, which you should read separately.
3. What we collect
We have deliberately built these Services to need very little personal data. Here is everything we collect, and why.
3.1 Calculator inputs
When you use a calculator, the numbers you enter (for example a loan amount, an interest rate, a monthly investment figure, or a stop-loss price) are sent to our calculation server so it can compute and return a result.
These inputs are processed in memory only to compute your result, and are not stored, logged against you, or linked to your identity. We do not build a profile of your finances from them. We cannot see a history of what you have calculated.
3.2 Account information (mobile apps only)
If you choose to sign in to the mobile app, you do so using Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. We never see or handle your Google or Apple password. From that sign-in, we receive and store on our own servers:
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Email address | To identify your account and contact you about your account or important service changes. |
| Display name | To personalise the app interface (e.g. greeting you by name). |
| Provider user ID | A unique identifier from Google or Apple so we can recognise you on return visits. |
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose Apple's Hide My Email option, we receive only Apple's private relay address, never your real one. That is entirely your choice and the app works normally either way.
3.3 Push notification token (mobile apps only)
If you allow push notifications, your device provides a push token — an anonymous identifier that lets us send a notification to your device. We store this token on our servers alongside your account so we can deliver notifications. It does not tell us who you are, where you are, or what else is on your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and we will stop sending them.
3.4 Technical and diagnostic data
Like almost every website and app, our servers automatically receive certain technical information when you connect, including your IP address, device or browser type, operating system version, and the date and time of the request. We use this only to keep the Services working, to diagnose faults, and to protect against abuse such as automated scraping or denial-of-service attempts.
3.5 Live chat (website only)
Our website includes a live chat widget provided by Zoho SalesIQ. If you start a chat, any information you type into it — and certain technical data about your visit — is processed by Zoho on our behalf. If you never open the chat, you can still use every calculator normally. Zoho's own privacy practices are described in the Zoho Privacy Policy.
3.6 Local storage on your own device
Some preferences are saved on your device only and are never transmitted to us: your light/dark theme choice, and any custom F&O lot sizes you add in the Position Size Calculator. Clearing your browser or app data removes these.
4. What we deliberately don't collect
We think it is as important to state what we do not do. We do not:
- Ask for, receive, or store your trading account credentials, broker login, bank details, card numbers, PAN, Aadhaar, or demat account details. No calculator on this platform needs them.
- Collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, call logs, SMS messages, or the list of other apps on your device.
- Run advertising networks, ad SDKs, or behavioural ad targeting in the Services.
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone, for any purpose. We have no data-brokerage business model.
- Track you across other companies' apps and websites. Because we do not do this, the Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt does not apply to our iOS app.
- Store a history of your calculations or build a financial profile of you.
5. Why we process your data
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Delivering calculator results | Calculator inputs (not stored) |
| Letting you sign in and recognising you on return | Email, display name, provider user ID |
| Sending notifications you have opted into | Push token |
| Keeping the Services running and secure | Technical and diagnostic data |
| Responding to your support questions | Whatever you choose to tell us in chat or email |
| Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations | As required by applicable law |
6. Legal basis for processing
Under the DPDP Act (India): we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account or enable notifications, and on the basis of certain legitimate uses permitted by the Act, such as maintaining the security of our Services and complying with law. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights) — withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
Under the GDPR / UK GDPR (if you are in the EEA or UK): we rely on consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for optional features such as push notifications; performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) to provide an account you have asked for; and legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) to keep the Services secure, functional and free from abuse.
7. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the following categories of recipient, and only to the extent necessary:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — our servers and databases are hosted with our hosting provider, which processes data strictly on our instructions.
- Google and Apple — when you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, and for delivering push notifications through their platform services.
- Zoho Corporation — for the live chat widget on our website, if you choose to use it.
- Legal and regulatory authorities — where we are required to disclose data by law, court order, or a valid request from a competent authority.
- A successor entity — if our business is merged, acquired, or reorganised, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the terms of this policy.
8. International data transfers
Our Services are operated from India and our servers are located in India. If you access the Services from outside India, your data will be transferred to and processed in India. Some of our service providers (such as Google, Apple and Zoho) operate globally and may process data in other countries.
Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You may contact us for further information about these safeguards.
9. How long we keep data
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Calculator inputs | Not retained — processed in memory and discarded once your result is returned. |
| Account information | Kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of you deleting your account. |
| Push notification token | Deleted when you disable notifications or delete your account. |
| Technical and diagnostic logs | Retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted. |
| Support and chat conversations | Retained only as long as needed to resolve your query and keep a reasonable support record. |
Where the DPDP Act requires us to erase personal data once the purpose for which it was collected is no longer being served, we do so, unless retention is required by law.
10. How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the limited data we hold, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS across the website, apps and our calculation API), access controls limiting who can reach production systems, and rate limiting and abuse protection on our API.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act and Rules, and any other regulator where we are legally obliged to do so.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights. We will not charge you for exercising them, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
- Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Correction — ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, or complete data that is incomplete.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data, and delete your account.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw a consent you previously gave, at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us directly, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
- Nominate — under the DPDP Act, nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Data portability and objection — if you are in the EEA or UK, additionally request a portable copy of your data and object to certain processing.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from within the mobile app, or by emailing us at [email protected] from the address linked to your account. We will action the deletion within 30 days and confirm once complete.
12. Children and age restriction
The Services are intended solely for users aged 18 and over. They deal with derivatives, margin, and investment planning, and are not designed for or directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. In line with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, we do not carry out behavioural tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children — and because we do not run advertising or behavioural tracking at all, this holds for every user of our Services.
If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that data promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will act on it.
13. Mobile app permissions
Our apps request as few device permissions as possible. Specifically:
| Permission | Why, and whether it is optional |
|---|---|
| Internet / network access | Required. The app sends your calculator inputs to our server and receives the result. |
| Notifications | Optional. Only requested if you want alerts. Declining it does not restrict any calculator. |
We do not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or SMS permissions. If a future version of the app needs a new permission, we will explain why before requesting it and update this policy.
14. Cookies and local storage
Our website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use browser local storage to remember your theme and currency preferences on your own device. The Zoho SalesIQ chat widget sets its own cookies when loaded; see Zoho's policy for details. Our mobile apps do not use cookies, though they store your sign-in session and preferences locally on your device.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services change or as the law develops. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will give you clear notice — through the app, on the website, or by email — before it takes effect, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent again.
